Safe Sex
The increasing rate of people being infected with HIV and AIDS virus is very alarming.
The incidence of unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases is also escalating. Those advocating the prevention of these are also advocating safe sex, or the use of safe sex method as an alternative to preventing the spread of the HIV and AIDS virus. They also advocate the use of safe sex to prevent unwanted and teenage pregnancies and for the prevention too of other sexually transmitted diseases.
What is Safe Sex?
This is having sex free of the danger of contracting a sexually transmitted disease or of other infectious diseases. Both partners are protected by using a condom and a diaphragm or other protective gadgets and other accessories.
Organizations around the world, private individuals, and some governments are informing the public that it is fine to have sex with your choice of partner as long as you employ protective measures to avoid the transmission of infectious diseases and unwanted pregnancies.
The Christian Society however is against safe sex advocacies. According to them safe sex advocates are encouraging people to be promiscuous and to engage in sex whoever their partners are, wherever, whenever they wanted to. The Christian society wanted to define safe sex as sex or love making within the bounds of marriage. Monogamous relationship to them is the safest way to perform the act of marriage, lovemaking or sex.
Although some governments are against advocates of safe sex, they encourage use of condoms for family planning purposes.
